The Company History
Founded in 2022, Design To A ‘T’ started with the idea to help clients have a personalized experience in transforming their house into a home. Tyler set out to spend individualized time with each client, getting to know them and their design styles. Driven by a passion for helping others and design itself, Tyler created this business and has not looked back. Design To A ‘T’ started as a studio in Tyler’s spare bedroom and has grown into a physical showroom in Danville, VA as of October 2023. Our showroom offers a full kitchen display and several samples, so each client can see/touch/feel what their cabinetry & countertops will look like before anything gets ordered! We utilize high-end computer software to help our clients realistically visualize what their new space can look like through 3-dimensional renderings. From Day 1 until completion, we guide our clients through design selections, scheduling assistance, and any unanswered questions they may have!
We service the local community of Pittsylvania County, and we also travel to surrounding areas!
Design To A ‘T’ works directly with homeowners, cabinet shops, as well as builders who want to offer in-house design services for their clients.
Meet the Owner
Meet Tyler Harrell, the owner and executive designer of Design To A ‘T’. Tyler’s several years of experience in the design industry all began at Virginia Tech, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Residential Environments & Design—Go Hokies! After working for a design firm in Greensboro, Tyler took the leap of faith to open her own design studio and offer design services to her local community. Tyler takes a personal approach to designing with each client. She makes sure that their space is beautiful, yet functional for many years to come. What truly fulfills her passion is creating this business for herself, hence the ‘T’ in the company’s name. Design To A ‘T’ gives Tyler the opportunity to do more of what she loves outside of work as well, such as spending time outdoors with her family, woodworking and traveling with her boyfriend, and enjoying the summertime!
